YORKSHIRE DALES CLASSIC TRIAL

  • 13 May 2018
  • Pateley Bridge cattle market

Registration

  • I have entered the Yorkshire Dales Classic Trial directly with the Airedale and Pennine Motor Car Club

Registration is closed

We have been in discussion with the Airedale and Pennine Motor Car Club about making the Classic Trials more relevant and accessible to trail riders.

As a consequence the regulations have been amended so that motorcycles fitted with road legal tyres that do not not comply with the more restrictive ACU tyre regulations will be permitted in Class X. This means that you will not need a trials tyre, which would only be used on events of this type rather than normal trail riding. We hope this amendment removes one of the current barriers to our members allowing you to enter and support these great events without incurring additional costs for compliant tyres.

This is not a TrailRiders organised event and Bookings will need to be made directly on the  APMC club website here

If you enter, it would be helpful if you could also register on this event as attending so that we know how many of our members took advantage of the amended rules.

The Event

ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN

We are delighted to invite back all Motorcycle and Car competitors for our 2018 Classic Trial. You are promised another excellent variety of sections and a new one introduced to keep you on your toes. There will be 20 Sections and 70 Road miles. We have also increased the off road mileage between sections as requested by some of our regular motorcycle competitors.  Pateley Bridge cattle market is again playing host for the start and finish, ensuring a compact route plus ample parking for competing vehicles, plus trailers and tenders. The adjoining café will be open for food and drink for the duration of the event, whilst fuel is available nearby and also after 40 miles.

As in previous years we will be running a raffle in aid of the Air Ambulance  this  charity is very dear to the hearts of our landowners and by making a donation to this charity greatly helps us to obtain permissions to use our sections and farm tracks.

A condition of an ACU permit is that entrants must be a member of an ACU affiliated club. We are no longer allowed to offer club day membership but if any competitor is not a member of an ACU club we can offer half year membership of Airedale and Pennine MCC for £5. Also if any competitor does not have an ACU Trials Licence A&P can provide a one day ACU Trials Licence for £3 which includes insurance cover.

Awards for Class X will be, 1st in class subject to 3 starters, 2nd in class subject to 6 starters and 3rd in class subject to 10 starters.

Entry Forms and Regulations are available on the Airedale and Pennine MCC website www.apmcc.co.uk
